About Boom Lift Hire

Boom lifts (or just booms) are typically used for tasks that require 'stand off', or 'up and over' capability. Generally, they can be divided into two types - 'knuckle' and 'telescopic', each with its own advantages and disadvantages. However, Central Hire also operates some remarkable Skyjack TK66 booms that combine the key features of both knuckling and telescoping. We can deliver boom lifts for hire in Auckland quickly and efficiently. Longer term hires throughout NZ are readily available.

Knuckle Booms are typically used in situations that require 'up and over' capability. They can be battery or diesel powered, with the former usually intended for indoor use and the latter for outdoor (although Central Hire operates some models that can run on either diesel or electric, and some electric booms intended for outdoor use). They can drive when elevated.
